You took me by surprise,
I saw something in your eyes,
A feeling I never knew,
It was too good to be true,
You picked me up and carried me away,
You told me you were here to stay,
You chased away all my fears,
Lifted my head, and dried my tears.

What did i do to make you run?
A problem we couldn't overcome.
If i knew it would end like this
I would have never given you our first kiss.

The way my heart has ached for you,
I once believed that dreams come true.
I fear that i will never be free,
But it's you, my love, who should fear me.

I should say that i hate you for hurting me,
But you were used by God supernaturally,
He had a plan I could not see,
So i thank you for releasing me.

I still care though you are gone,
Are you ok? it's been so long,
I still cry for you from time to time,
But not because of our sinful crime,
and not because love's disappointed,
But because i am now anointed.

I want to know that you're alright,
And have someone on lonely nights.
i wish you the best for your life,
Free of struggle, pain and strife.

But the mystery remains, why aren't you mine?
I need clarification, I need understanding,
I need satisfaction, and a love unfailing,

Please reveal to me, why we couldn't be,
I need to find the spirit of peace
That burns so deep inside of me.

Remember that i loved you like no one ever will,
You were my ALL and for you I would kill,
Know that you are forgiven and free of blame,
